This Cardholder Agreement governs the issuance and use of prepaid virtual cards ("Card", "Cards") issued through Malum's virtual-card programme (the /visamastercard flow). It is a contract between you (the "Cardholder") and Malum Limited, together with our issuing partners. By activating or using a Card you accept this Agreement.

Cards are issued only to natural persons aged 18 or over who have successfully completed Malum's identity verification process and who are not resident in a jurisdiction listed in Geographic Restrictions. The Card is non-transferable and may be used only by the named Cardholder.
Cards are issued by Malum's BIN-sponsor partner (currently Relograde) and processed through Cryptomus' card programme. The Card is a prepaid product: it does not provide credit and is not linked to a bank account. The Card has no value until it is loaded.
You may load the Card by converting a cryptoasset balance held with Malum at the rate displayed in the dashboard. Loads are credited typically within minutes of network confirmation. Balance information is available in the Malum dashboard; the Card balance is held by the issuer in a designated safeguarding account.
The Card may be used wherever Visa or Mastercard prepaid products are accepted, subject to merchant category restrictions imposed by the issuer or by law. Authorisations exceeding the available balance will be declined. The Card may not be used for:
Issuance fees, load fees, transaction fees and decline fees are set out in the Fee Schedule. Per-transaction, daily and monthly load and spend limits are set by the issuer and displayed in the dashboard; limits may be reduced where additional risk signals are detected.
Where a transaction is in a currency other than the Card's denominated currency, the scheme (Visa or Mastercard) wholesale rate applies, plus the FX markup published in the Fee Schedule. The applied rate is the rate at the time of clearing, not authorisation, and may differ from the rate at the point of sale.
Cards expire on the date printed in the dashboard, typically thirty-six (36) months from issuance. After expiry, the remaining balance can be refunded to the underlying cryptoasset wallet on request for up to six (6) years, subject to a dormancy fee where applicable and to identity re-verification. Unclaimed balances may ultimately be remitted to the relevant unclaimed-property authority.
If you suspect that your Card details have been lost, stolen, or compromised, freeze the Card in the dashboard immediately and contact [email protected]. Subject to the Payment Services Regulations 2017, your maximum liability for unauthorised transactions before notification is £35, except where you acted fraudulently or with gross negligence.
Card-network chargeback rights apply. To raise a dispute, contact us within sixty (60) days of the statement date. Disputes are processed under the procedure in our Refund & Chargeback Policy.
We may freeze, suspend, or terminate the Card without prior notice where required by law, where a sanctions match is found, where fraud or abuse is suspected, or where the Cardholder breaches this Agreement. On termination the remaining balance, less any fees and pending authorisations, is returned to the underlying cryptoasset wallet (or fiat account where applicable) subject to identity verification.
Except as required by law, Malum and the issuer are not liable for losses arising from merchant disputes, foreign-exchange rate movements, or Card declines caused by the scheme or merchant. Nothing in this Agreement limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
We may change this Agreement with at least two (2) months' prior notice through the dashboard or by email, except for changes that are favourable to you or required by law, which may take effect immediately. Continued use of the Card after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a consumer to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
